Don’t bother. UCLA research reveals that your actual conversation accounts for only seven percent of the impression you make on strangers. What really matters? Your facial expressions. Turns out, the best “conversationalists” are the ones who let the other people do most of the talking – while they smile, return the other person’s gaze, and give the impression that they’re trying to connect.
