Sunday Side Up: "How Do You Do It?" by Gerry and the PacemakersJohn Lockwood
"How Do You Do It?" was the 1963 debut single of Gerry and the Pacemakers. However... It was originally offered to the Beatles as their first single, but the Fab Four chose "Love Me Do" instead! It became a #1 hit in Great Britain until being replaced by "Love Me Do" by You Know Who.
Other similarities: Both Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Beatles hailed from Liverpool, were managed by Brian Epstein and produced by George Martin.
Fun Fact: Gerry and the Pacemakers' original name was Gerry Marsden and the Mars Bars... until Mars Candy Company stepped in to complain. What an Almond kill Joy!
