Sunday Side Up Motown Moment: "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell
John LockwoodMarch 12, 2021
Rockwell, aka Kennedy William Gordy, is the son of Motown founder and CEO Berry Gordy. His biggest hit, "Somebody's Watching Me", is from the album of the same name, featuring vocals from Michael (chorus) and Jermaine (background) Jackson.
Fun Fact: Although an international hit, "Somebody's Watching Me" only reached #2 in the USA... kept out of the top spot by both Van Halen's "Jump" and "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins!
Fun Fact Memory: Rockwell's followup hit was "Obscene Phone Caller!" Remember THAT one?
