On March 14th, Quincy Delight Jones celebrates his 88th birthday! As record producer, multi- instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, arranger and film and television producer, "Q" has made quite a mark in music and media over mulitiple decades!

Of course, the featured "We are the World" is one of the milestones of his career, with an all- star cast of musicians who were instructed to "leave their egos at the door." And the biggest unsolved mystery since "Who was Deep Throat in the Watergate Scandal?" is now "Who invited Dan Ackroyd to sing?" (Just kidding, Dan)

Fun Fact: The Austin Powers Theme is actually "Soul Bossa Nova" by Quincy Jones, released in 1962. Mike Myers (aka Austin) was born in 1963.

Another Fun Fact: "Theme from Sanford and Son" is also a "Q" composition.

And yet another: Quincy is also responsible for much of Michael Jackson's solo success... including the albums "Off the Wall" and a little- known LP called... "Thriller!"
