Originally a #1 hit in 1965 for Sonny and Cher, "I Got You Babe" was released 20 years later by UB40 and Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders. It reached the top of the charts in the U.K. and made the Top 30 here in the States.

Fun Fact: Written by Salvatore Phillip Bono (Sonny Bono), "I Got You Babe" was one of many songs he wrote for Sonny and Cher. He also composed "Needles and Pins", performed by many artists, most notably The Searchers.

What About Cher? Fun Fact: In the early 1990s, she covered "I Got You Babe" with... Beavis and Butthead!
