Born Edward Joseph Mahoney in New York on March 21st, 1949, Eddie Money had 11 top 40 songs in the 70s and 80s. One of these (and a personal fave of mine) is 1979's "Maybe I'm a Fool" from his "Life for the Taking" album.

Although he could definately rock, this soulful tune features, along with his unmistakable voice, a very cool saxophone solo, played by Eddie himself!

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Eddie Money!

Fun Money Fact: In a 2012 Geico commercial, Eddie appears as the owner of a travel agency and sings "Two Tickets to Paradise'... to a family of four!

Personal Fun Money Fact: I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing him several years (and radio stations) ago. Nice guy!
