Sunday Side Up Weekly Special: "Rock and Roll Girls" by John FogertyJohn Lockwood
A song from the "Centerfield" album, "Rock and Roll Girls" from Fogerty's first solo LP was inspired by watching his daughter and her friends hanging out. "The last days of innocence", as he puts it.
Rolling Stone Magazine critic at the time Kurt Loder called the tune "a rather spectacular demonstration of what can still be done with three sh***y chords and a blazing sax."
And... that blazing saxophone player is none other than John Fogerty!
