When tax time rolls around, some people get very creative. A recent survey of tax preparers found that their clients tried to deduct some strange things. For instance, one taxpayer tried to claim his monkey as a dependent. Another wanted to claim a deduction for an unborn child. Yet another creative taxpayer claimed a friend as a deduction. Other off-the-wall deductions included: diaper-service costs, dating-service fees, cigarettes, and even calls to a psychic hotline.
