According to a new study, peace and quiet may help your food taste better – and could even help you eat less of it. In the study, diners who ate in noisy conditions reported that their food was less appealing. High noise levels prevent you from focusing fully on the taste of your meal, the researchers say. Previous research has shown that people tend to eat more when they are distracted.
